- I offer prompt,
professional in home service. This includes fine tuning, which I have been doing for over 30 years. I also offer voicing,
repairs and regulation. (These terms are explained on the "Piano Service" page.) Serving the entire Metro Detroit
area.
- New, used, reconditioned and rebuilt pianos are available for sale. Pianos can be seen by at my rebuilding shop
and showroom in Grosse Pointe Park, MI. The piano showroom is usually open 12 to 6 Monday through Saturday, but an appointment
is recommended if you're coming from far away. If I'm out tuning, there's generally someone in the adjoining office so you
can try out pianos. There's never a pushy salesperson! I'm often in the shop on Saturdays all day, but call ahead to be sure.
- Complete piano restoration service. This can be anything from a basic reconditioning to a complete rebuilding. This
includes restringing, pinblock replacement, action replacement, refinishing, key rebushing and keytop replacement. I also
restore antique instruments in a historically correct manor.
- What is an RPT? A Registered Piano Technician must pass
a series of rigorous examinations on the maintenance, repair, and tuning of pianos. The exams are given by the Piano Technicians
Guild, a not for profit association of piano technicians. They also provide a continuing education in piano technology.
